Two actually. News is the layoffs have begun at my previous automotive job.
The department was about 25 people, mostly degreed engineers or managers. I left in July (on my own terms - they offered me the moon to stay). Another very productive younger guy that left just in the nick of time.
Word reached me today that last week two former co-workers were laid off. I know these people. Their faces, their personalities, their ways. It is a shame.
